This is a standard European C7 mains lead at 2 metres. This power cable has a European type C standard 2 pin plug and an IEC C7 (Figure of Eight) connector on the other end. This Euro cable is rated at 2.5 amps due to the IEC C7’s maximum current rating of 2.5amps.
Please take note that the type C European 2 pin connector has no earth connection, and must not be used on any appliance that needs to be earthed. It is also commonly used with low power devices, whilst devices with higher power consumption are usually made using the full Schuko plug. The IEC C7 connector is very commonly called a calculator, “Fig 8” or “Figure of 8” connector.
