Description
This is a 5 metre UTP extension network cable, more commonly known as Cat5e cable, it is also known as network cable or ethernet cable. Category 5e cable is an unshielded twisted pair high signal integrity cable. This type of cable is mostly used to connect computers and laptops to a network such as Ethernet or to just another computer. This cable uses an 8 pin RJ45 8P8C modular connector and an RJ45 Socket. This is ideal for creating a longer length cable but we do always advise using a single, longer lead to get what you want, less connections mean more speed and better signal quality but not just that, when using just a single lead as opposed to two then if there’s a problem down the line somewhere it’s much easier to find.
